Gotta catch an early bird flight from Stockholm to Frankfurt and then reach home sweet home by 11.30 PM on 15th.<div><br /></div><div>Loads of work to be done b4 that and gotta celebrate the end on June 1st. As part of this...we got to visit Stockholm 5 times in a month and gave us ample time to see the city in a much better light. Also interacting with teams from Ericsson was a big boost for us and we had a great support from them for our experiments. I truly hope I get a chance to work with the same teams..they were working on something that is truly fascinating for me.</div><div><br /></div><div>By the way I also took an additional course on Innovation, which was an eye opener for me on how Innovation works and how it can be cultivated in an organization. The prof for this course is a very learned and recognized individual. It was an honour to learn and interact from such a distinguished person.</div><div><br /></div><div>Oh ya...I got thru the course easily..and also to add...all my practical work for the thesis is done.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now engaged in battling the documentation for the same. Before I forget, we also presented a proposal to Ericsson for a new solution to an existing problem. They were kinda impressed and I am keeping my fingers crossed abt its future outcome.</div><div><br /></div><div>I also managed to squeeze in time to cover nearly 10 seasons of the Simpsons from 20 to 10 (started the other way round).</div><div><br /></div><div>Its the finale season on Tv and already Chuck, Heroes have ended. Lost is setup for an explosive end next week and hopefully Smallville also delivers this year as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sad abt Prison Break ending this season. However I am pleased to know that FOX is gonna end it in style and tie up lose ends.</div><div><br /></div><div>Also new addiction tv shows include HOW I MET YOUR MOM and 30 ROCK (up to date on all the seasons :D)</div><div><br /></div><div>The best show this season has been FRINGE and boy am I excited to be seeing LEONARD NIMOY in the finale next week. </div><div><br /></div><div>And while all this has been happening.....its MAY 2009 now..and that means I only have a month and 10 days to leave Sweden. Lots to do in this time and lots more 2 shop. Wish me all the best for this.</div><div><br /></div><div>Have to chalk out a list for the folks back home and also restrict the stuff within the weight limits.</div><div><br /></div><div>Before I forget...the weather has turned upside down and its simple superb outside...clear skies, bright sunshine, blooming trees etc. Its the best time to be in Sweden.</div><div><br /></div><div>The 1 thing that bugs me is how the Sun is upto 10 PM in the night and thats kinda wierd and disturbs my sleep patterns :P <img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oO70Bfxupa8/SgNZgSPC0QI/AAAAAAAAGtk/cuBm8WMH48I/s200/Nature+003.JPG" /></div><div><br /></div><div>Have some good meetings with big shots in the coming week, and I am confident they will end up being beneficial to me ;)<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>OH YES!! Alien's big news was a total shocker ..... wonder what hes got next under his sleeve?</div><div><br /></div><div>God willing, I hope to present my thesis on June 2nd in an awesome way. Once I do that, I am free and hope to fly home by June 15th.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyways will keep updating frequently this month..... And out of nowhere an old dream was given a chance to be made into reality and I grabbed it.</div><div><br /></div><div>In the latter part of the year, I made it to Sweden. New pals from TCS continue to cheer me up here.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sadly one dear friend, Pradyumna Garimella passed away (RIP), shockingly reminding us of our own mortality.</div><div><br /></div><div>The one thing I never imagined myself doing, COOKING, became a reality and am now an entry level, hunger satisfying veggie cook :) . So what do u do? you call a meeting with ur pals, tell them the situation, go ahead and book ur tickets. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thats what happened 2day with me and my colleagues here.  So whats the problem in that?</div><div><br /></div><div>Well it so happens that we have tickets to go and come back, but no further plan in Swiss. This means that further costs, sights to see and etc have not been fully accounted for. </div><div><br /></div><div>Checking all these later on reveals that some of us are not gonna be comfortable with the expenses. I did come to realise that the ppl here are very friendly and speak good engish.<br /><br />But it was pretty chilly, arnd 17 degrees.<br /><br />Anyways attended some classes, got my self registered, and strolled through the university.<br /><br />Next I proceeded to the city center, coming to know that the city is not huge, and can be covered easily.<br /><br />Going back home, I was shocked to see that the sun only sets @ 10 in the night, which was both amusing to see and also difficult to sleep.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7158139144217351008-6871744818894419058?l=adyinsweden.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Adynoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7158139144217351008.post-23674488129929010562008-09-02T20:48:00.003+02:002008-09-02T20:57:13.586+02:00So due to our flight arriving after our scheduled flight to Stockholm took off, we were given an alliance partner flight.<br /><br />And boy did that flight suck, it was a low cost international flight, meaning I experienced costly Swedish prices even before I put foot in Sweden.<br /><br />By the way Frankfurt airport was big, but no so tidy.<br /><br />Anyways, reaching Stockholm, we got an immediate connecting bus to Vasteras.<br /><br />It was a pleasant ride in a Mercedes Benz bus, with a magnificent view of Sweden's grasslands and farms.<br /><br />Upon arrival in Vasteras, we were lucky to find a Desi guy( our ppl are everywhere :), who helped us find the place where we needed to collect our apartment keys.<br /><br />After that, we took a very very expensive taxi ride that finally got us to our apartments.<br /><br />Entering the building, I got acquainted with a friendly neighbour on my floor, who helped me with the ways and rules of the apartment in the next few days.<br /><br />So got refreshed soon, had a pizza from a nearby pizzeria and sleep!!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7158139144217351008-2367448812992901056?l=adyinsweden.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Adynoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7158139144217351008.post-82185918018248785532008-09-02T20:30:00.002+02:002008-09-02T20:47:21.559+02:0025th Aug, I went to TCS Hyd and am shocked to know, due to unavailability of tickets, I have 2 fly from Blore.<br /><br />I was so panicky, it was good that Sandy was with me, he helped me to relax and arranged for some last minute stuff.<br /><br />So I went home, asked Santu to come over and help me with last minute shopping and within the hour by 5pm left home for the airport.<br /><br />Sad thing is cudnt even properly say bye to mom and sis, and other friends and famlily staying nearby.<br /><br />Anyways, Pilot and Santu saw me off at the airport, and off I flew to Blore.<br /><br />I earlier managed to call Gagan in Blore to come see me at the airport, and so he turned up with Raj and Rohan, who made my halt there pretty memorable.<br /><br />So I finally checked in , cleared immigration and security and finally boarded the plane @ 2 AM by which time, I was thoroughly exhausted.<br /><br />So I go in and to my shock, I get a seat which is totally unsuitable for me to sleep, as it has very less leg room.<br /><br />I wriggled around and finally managed to doze off for a while, after which the captain announces the flight might be slightly delayed due to a technical problem,say 30 mins.<br /><br />However after 3 hrs of trying, the flight is cancelled, and to cut a long story short, me and my colleagues flying with me are given 5 star accomodation and a flight for the next day.<br /><br />So I do the best thing I know, sleep all day and refresh myself in the evening and off I flew to Frankfurt from Blore...<br /><br />I really felt sorry for my other 2 friends, who were boarding an international flight for the 1st time and it got cancelled :P<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7158139144217351008-8218591801824878553?l=adyinsweden.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Adynoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7158139144217351008.post-27219210071176773082008-08-29T19:23:00.001+02:002008-08-29T19:26:45.067+02:00Hi<br /><br />Welcome to my blog that chronicles my 10 month study period in Vasteras, Sweden.<br /><br />Through this blog, I would like to share my experiences here and also my thoughts on many more things that I find amusing/attractive/shocking etc.<br /><br />So do keep checking this page and you might be in treat for some pleasant reading :)<br /><br />Cheers!<br />aDy<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7158139144217351008-2721921007117677308?l=adyinsweden.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Adynoreply@blogger.com0
